Cleaning Your Floors with Laminate Floor Cleaner

Now that you have installed your laminate floor, you need to know how to properly take care of it.  While this type of flooring is pretty durable and long lasing, it can be damaged if you do not properly care for it. 

There is no point in putting all the effort into a new floor if you are not going to use the right methods for keeping it looking nice.  The fist thing you need to purchase to keep your flooring looking great is laminate floor cleaner.

This is a special product that is made specifically for laminate flooring.  You do not want to use any products that are made for any other types of floors.  This is vital when you are cleaning laminate.  There is a difference in care to them that is not needed with linoleum or carpeting.

If the flooring becomes too wet, it can actually expand and then it will lift off the floor and need to be replaced.  It is important that you do not use a lot of water to mop the floor.  The best option for daily cleaning is to use a damp mop or even a dust mop.

You can even use a vacuum to get up the small dirt and dust in between cleanings.  A vacuum cleaner will not damage the flooring as long as you do not have the brushes turned on while using it.  Most vacuums have a switch that will turn off the brushes so all you are doing is sucking up the dirt.

Only use laminate floor cleaner when you need to clean the flooring of mud or other daily messes that can occur.  Do no use any type of waxes or other floor cleaners as those can damage a laminate floor.
